Is using a ghostwriter cheating?
There’s a lot of discussion about writing a book in the name of someone else, but ghostwriting occurs often for a couple of reasons: 1. No one is brilliant at everything. You have a story to tell, I have the words to tell it; it’s that simple. It’s still your story, when all is published, and that’s why it’s your name that appears on the finished product. Ghostwriting is a bit like an architect designing a building (you're the architect) and a builder laying the bricks to make the place habitable (I'm the builder). 2. Writing a book is a long, long process. It can take years when you're working full time and trying to write in your spare time.
